Regardless of the reasoning, it’s quick and easy to flip photos on Android devices. Whether you have an Android phone or tablet, the three methods below will help you flip your photos horizontally or vertically.

Pretty much all Android devices come with a stock Gallery app and this app often has some basic editing tools. One of these tools lets you flip your photos.

The features that Gallery comes with varies by the device you have. Some Gallery apps offer more features than the others.

Here’s how you use the Gallery app on a OnePlus Nord phone to flip your photos. The steps will slightly vary for other Android phones, but you’ll get the idea.

Launch Gallery on your phone and tap the image that you want to flip. Your image should open full-screen Tap Edit in the bottom-left to reveal the available editing tools. Select Rotate from the available options. You’ll see a time icon in the bottom. Tap this icon to flip your photo. Then, make sure to tap the checkmark icon to save your flipped photo.

2. Use Snapseed to Flip Photos on Android

Snapseed is Google’s free photo editing app for smartphones. This app brings with it many editing options, one of which helps you flip your photos.

To use this app to flip photos on your Android device:

Download and install Snapseed on your phone, if you haven’t already done that. Open the app and tap the big Add (+) icon in the center. This lets you load a photo to edit in the app. On the following screen, tap the hamburger icon in the top-left and select Gallery. Pick the image that you want to flip from your Gallery. This image will be added to Snapseed. When your photo opens in the app, tap Tools in the bottom. Select Rotate from the options available to you, then tap the flip icon in the bottom to flip your photo. When you’re done, tap the checkmark icon to save your flipped photo.

3. Use Adobe Photoshop Express to Flip Photos on Android

Adobe Photoshop Express (free, with in-app purchases available) offers several editing tools to enhance your photos on your Android device. One of these tools lets you flip your photos both vertically and horizontally.

If you’d like to use this app to do your task, here’s how you do that:

Install the Adobe Photoshop Express app on your device. Launch the app and sign in to your Adobe account. You can create an Adobe account for free if you don’t already have one. Grant the app the permission to access your storage. This allows the app to access and display your photos. Then, tap the photo that you want to flip and it’ll open full-screen. Tap the crop icon in the bottom as it has the flip options, then tap Rotate from the newly opened toolbar. You can now tap Flip Horizontal or Flip Vertical to flip your photo. When you’re done flipping the photo, tap Next in the top-right. On the following screen, tap Save to Gallery to save your flipped photo to your phone. Besides saving, you can directly share your photo to various platforms from this screen.
