Fix Wireless capability is turned off (Radio is off)

Method 1: Toggling WiFi ON

You may have accidentally press the physical button to switch off WiFi or some program may have disabled it. If this is the case you can easily fix Wireless capability is turned off error with just a press of a button. Search your keyboard for the WiFi and press it to enable WiFi again. In most cases its Fn(Function key) + F2.

Method 2: Run Network troubleshooter

The built-in Troubleshooter can be a handy tool when you face internet connectivity issues on Windows 10. You can try it to fix your network problems.

  1. Right-click on the network icon at the taskbar and click on Troubleshoot problems.

  2. The Network Diagnostics window will open. Follow the on-screen instructions to run the Troubleshooter.

Method 3: Enable the Network Connection

  1. Right-click on the network icon in the notification area and select Open Network & Internet Settings.

  2. Under Change your network settings, click on Change Adapter Options.

  3. Right-click on your Network Connection and then click on Enable.

  4. Restart your PC and see if you’re to resolve the problem or not.

Method 4: Turn On Wireless capability

  1. Right-click on the network icon in the notification area and select Open Network & Internet Settings.

  2. Under Change your network settings, click on Change Adapter Options.

  3. Right-click the WiFi connection and select Properties.

  4. Click Configure next to the wireless adapter.

  5. Then switch to the Power Management tab.

  6. Uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.”

  7. Restart your PC.

Method 5: Turn WiFi On From Windows Mobility Center

  1. Press Windows key + Q and type windows mobility center.

  2. Inside Windows Mobility Center turn ON your WiFi connection.

  3. Restart your PC.

Method 6: Enable WiFi from BIOS

Sometimes none of the above will be useful because the wireless adapter has been disabled from BIOS, in this case, you need to enter BIOS and set it as default, then log in again and go to “Windows Mobility Center” through Control Panel and you can turn the wireless adapter ON/OFF.
